Boarding
Carisbrooke Stud is an idyllic boutique stud in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside that offers excellent facilities to accommodate permanent boarders as well as temporary seasonal boarders. We also take horses out of training for spelling.
We provide the best possible individual care for each horse.
In addition to our stable facilities, we have 6 isolation boxes in a separate yard for quarantine purposes, also under 24hr CCTV cameras. We have four all-weather turnout paddocks, a large outdoor arena plus horse walker and lunge ring.
We are ideally situated for broodmares visiting all stallions during the breeding season. The Stud has excellent rates of conception for visiting mares, supported by Donnington Grove Veterinary Hospital, Newbury and Rossdales of Lambourn.
All our foaling boxes are fitted with CCTV cameras, making sure that all pregnant mares are under 24hr supervision. We employ a night watchperson to sit up during the foaling season. We have a very experienced foaling team providing 24hr service to give the special care that new-born foals require to enable the best possible start to life.
We use the expertise of Dermot Barry Farriers. Dermot and his team provide a highly professional service, including specialist and remedial care.
